What is an end of life doula?

An end-of-life doula is a professionally trained end-of-life guide who provides holistic non-medical support to individuals and their loved ones during life’s transitions.

Unlike medical professionals, end-of-life doulas focus on physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical assistance, helping people navigate end-of-life experiences with dignity and compassion.

End-of-life doulas bridge the gap between medical care and personal, compassionate support during one of life's most profound transitions.

We offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation so we can connect, discuss your unique needs, and answer all your questions with care. Following our conversation, we will craft a personalized plan for your journey, complete with an estimated cost. We are committed to balancing your desired level of care with an acceptable budget, and our planning often results in significant savings on overall final expenses while ensuring all your wishes are fully met.

MISSION STATEMENT

My commitment is to transform the end-of-life experience from a clinical event into a sacred, supported, and self-directed journey through education, advocacy, and unwavering presence.

ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

April 12, 2026 11:00 am - 12:30 pm Pacific

SECOND SUNDAY EACH MONTH

The fear of public speaking and the fear of death are consistently ranked as humanity's greatest anxieties. We celebrate birth, yet we avoid discussions about the other universal experience we all share: dying. This avoidance has made death the ultimate "elephant in the room"—an uncomfortable, unspoken reality.

Drawing inspiration from the Death Cafe format, this is a professionally facilitated conversation, available virtually, that provides a safe, non-judgmental forum for participants to explore their personal relationship with mortality and dying.

    Certified Care Consultant

A Care Consultant is a specially trained professional that provides support for clients at any age, possibly long before a terminal diagnosis, to identify what’s important, guidance for creating advance directives and information to allow informed choices. Facilitates effective communication with loved ones.

    Certified End-of-Life Doula

Just like a birth doula helping to bring life into the world, an End of Life Doula is a holistic non-medical professional trained to provide emotional, physical, spiritual and informational support for a patient and their caregiver and loved ones before, during, and after death.

    Certified After Care Services

A life well-lived deserves a story well-told. But when you’re navigating the waves of grief, finding the words (and the energy) to plan can feel overwhelming. After care is more than just paperwork—it’s about holding the space for your memories to breathe.

  • A 2011 study on Medicare beneficiaries found that nearly 9 out of 10 caregivers for older adults at the end of life were family members or other unpaid individuals.

  • "It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather, our concern must be to live while we're alive—to release our inner genius and to actually make our dreams a reality."

    Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

  • "You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die."

Founder of the modern hospice movement

  • "Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome."
